Product Owner (Advertising)
The Advertising Product Owner is responsible of the management and execution of the strategic advertising (B2B) roadmap. The person will act as a conduit between the Digital Advertising and Product teams on the development of monetization products that will maximize revenue for the company. The strategic goal for this role is to ensure revenue team is fully enabled with the right advertising product and solutions to drive the revenue growth of True Digital. The role will report to Head of Advertising, Product.
▪Work with the Head of Advertising Product to establish a clear B2B roadmap for the company.
▪Work closely with Revenue and AdOps teams to understand the needs of our clients and the market.
▪Manage a backlog of advertising related user stories across multiple development squads to ensure advertising stories are advanced across the organization.
▪Work closely with various BUs and stakeholders to ensure the right balance of ad placements and user experience is established across TDG Products including True ID, Apps, Web and OTT Box.
▪Collaborate with other Product leads and Data & Analytics teams to understand the impact of advertising on user experience.
▪Liaise and work with external tech vendors (ie. Google) on implementing the most up to date features and solution to generate revenue.
▪Assist the team and wider company with the evaluation, selection and management of key ad/martech vendors.
▪Challenge and collaborate with both internal and external parties on the norm to execute and implement the best in class solution.
▪Ensure proper process is followed by other BUs to ensure the right focus is established and prioritized.
▪Help generate training materials to educate the wider company.
▪3-5+ years in a product or tech role at an ad/martech company.
▪Degree in computer science (with a minor in marketing) or marketing (with a minor in computer science) preferred. Relevant experience considered.
▪Product management and technical experience with a broad variety of marketing and ad platforms, ie. DSP, SSP, ad-servers, DMP, Google 360 suite, cloud marketing solutions, and analytics solutions.
▪Hands on experience or very good understanding of various programming languages.
▪Experience working with clients and agencies a plus.
