True Digital Group (TDG) is one of Southeast Asia’s most exciting digital business buildouts and has had tremendous impact in Thailand’s digital economy by not only introducing innovative new digital products and propositions across media, lifestyle, IoT and analytics, but also by digitizing the core business of the CP Group, one of the world’s biggest conglomerates spanning agriculture, foods, telco and media, wholesale, retail and real estate.
TDG is now spreading out from Thailand to become a true regional player and has established an initial presence in Indonesia and The Philippines with its digital media platform and will soon set up a presence in SEA.
The Country Head (International Business Managing Director) is responsible for establishing True Digital’s presence in Malaysia. The Managing Director coordinates activities between True Digital’s operations outside of Thailand and True Digital’s operations in Thailand to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Lead and manage all aspects of True Digital Group’s businesses in Malaysia with full P&L responsibility.
Work closely with International Business team in Thailand to formulate country’s business and operations strategies. Identify and align on products/services of True Digital Group’s portfolio, which spans to cover digital media, analytics, digital solutions, and digital education, that would be suitable for Malaysia.
Create business plan, targets, align on budget, and develop strategic action plan to drive implementation.
Take charge of the establishment of True Digital Group’s presence in Malaysia.
Responsible for setting up, launching, and growing new businesses for True Digital Group in Malaysia
Manage all operations within the country, and ensure that affiliates adhere to all regulations and guidelines.
Build local team through discovering, hiring, retaining, and developing talents. Set teams’ and individuals’ targets to drive performance.
Identify and deliver strategic partners to support businesses in local country.
Represents the company externally with government, statutory/regulatory bodies and business partners/allies.
Report business performances on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
Preferably more than 7 years of professional experiences. Experienced in country leadership/management role is a plus.
Passionate in building and growing businesses. Possess entrepreneurial spirits with a can-do attitude. Having background working in startup is a plus.
Have strong understanding of Malaysia's digital businesses industries. Able to navigate Malaysia's digital industries landscapes and practices.
Proven track record in delivery of commercial targets and scaling business. Shown ability to perform business planning and P&L management.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to effectively communicate across internal and external parties. Can work with different teams across countries.
Demonstrate ability to effectively manage all operations, set targets, monitor and drive performances.
Ability to lead team and motivate employees.
Fluent in English and local language
