Overview

The latest and most feature rich version of the PowerStoreASP™ ecommerce system has just been completed. At the heart of this enterprise level enhanced shopping cart system is a powerful MS SQL database paired with an elegant .NET front end. PowerStoreASP™ can be used by itself or highly customized to provide endless custom features or even be configured to manage multiple shopping carts.

Basic Shopping Cart Features:

The Admin provides the interface for configuring the cart and includes the following:

The Public Interface provides pages that are viewed on your website specific to the selling of your products. The following pages are included in the basic cart:

• Product page listing all products (ProductList.aspx)
• Details page providing product details, option selections, prices, Buy button.
• Shopping Cart page displaying the items added to the shopping cart.
• Checkout page, handles login, billing and shipping information and credit card processing.
• My Account page to allow customers to login and view their account history.

Advanced Features:

• Customers can login and view their order history. For installations that sell downloadable products, the customer can re-download their purchase for up to xx days (xx is defined in the admin configuration settings and is the same value for all customers & products). Each attempt by a customer to download a product will be tracked. We can customize the order history page to not display the prices and totals from the customer’s previous orders (customization fees will apply).
• Admin will be allowed to change the download date expiry on individual orders for products that are downloadable.
• Products can have an unlimited number of options associated with them.
• After each order, the confirmation screen will allow the product(s) purchased to be immediately downloaded by the user if the products purchased are downloadable. In addition, a confirmation email will be sent to the customer.
• The checkout has the ability to allow for almost all credit cards, as well as PayPal.
• Gift Certificates may also be sold on the site, which can be redeemed during checkout. Gift Certificates, when purchased are linked to the recipients email address. When a gift certificate is redeemed, the customer redeeming it must have signed up for an account using the email address on the gift certificate and they must enter the code that is on the gift certificate. These restrictions reduce the risk of fraudulent use of Gift Certificates. Gift certificates never expire.
• Discounts can be setup on products in various ways. Discounts can be either a fixed amount or percentage per order, they can be tiered so that increasing quantities can have a different discount and buy x get y free. Discounts are done by category and membership type so that they can be restricted to certain products and/or certain members. In addition a new feature allows discounts on discounts (a discount can be added to a shopping cart that already has a discount applied to it such as a store wide sale discount). These new discounts have to be entered as coupon codes and you can only use a maximum of one coupon code per order. When a discount is created in the Admin, a Discount Code will be generated that can be sent to people.
• Customers have the ability to create a wish list.
• Customers have the ability to save a shopping cart. In order to save their shopping cart, they will need to login.
• The shopping cart can be configured to provide an unlimited number of shipping options for customers. Shipping rates can be set as fixed amounts or can be calculated based on the weight of the products purchased. Shipping options such as “Pick Up” can also be configured with a value of $0 so the customer is not charged for shipping.
• Related products are handled by categories, simply place similar products in the same category. A product can be assigned to multiple categories.
• Each product detail page will be a static page in order to improve search engine rankings. Query strings emanating from dynamic access are not be used.
• Reports may include: Today’s orders, order history, products sold by quantity and dollar value, customer list by quantity and dollar value.
• Email the product to friend functionality is included on the product detail pages. This allows a customer to email the link to the product page to a friend.
